Lost in Scotland

Photos
Urban development, spruce planting and felling, wind farms and fenced-off fields now scar the Scottish landscapes of my first visits and jar with my precious memories. Only upon reaching LEWIS & HARRIS then SUTHERLAND & WESTER ROSS did I stumble across the unspoilt lands of the past. Only then could I once again lose myself in spaces as yet untouched by Man.

There, the magnificent coast and lochs mirror the surrounding mountains and oppose their wuthering winds, their whispering waters and rumbling waterfalls to smooth deep silences. An ever-changing patchwork of colours where sunlight and shadow are endlessly in chase of each other is painted by wind-tormented clouds on the moors, the coasts and the lochs.
